Why We LOVE Hemp (Hint: It’s Sustainable and Clean)

What the World Needs Now (is Hemp, Sweet Hemp)

If you’re a skincare junkie like me, you’ve probably heard of hemp seed oil. It’s considered one of the best ingredients to keep your skin healthy, young, and blemish-free. It’s great for the environment since hemp is one of the most sustainable crops in the world, and it has the power to replace plastic and make a BIG change to the health and longevity of the planet.

Here are the many reasons why we at Pink Seed Co. love hemp.

First, hemp is great for your skin.

Hemp moderates oil production: Hemp naturally moisturizes your skin without clogging your pores. This boosts hydration and stops your skin from producing too much oil. With less oil, your skin will look smoother and you’ll be less likely to get acne and breakouts.

Hemp soothes inflammation: Hemp contains an omega-6 fatty acid called gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). This is a natural anti-inflammatory, which is great for skin that’s prone to redness, acne, psoriasis, and other skin aggravating conditions.

Hemp can help you look younger:Used regularly, hemp seed oil can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Hemp is naturally calming: Sure, this may not change the appearance of your skin, but hemp can help give your skin a welcome reprieve for dry, irritated, and sensitive skin.

It’s suitable for all skin types:We love a product that everyone in your family can use regardless of their skin type. Hemp loves dry, combination, and oily skin equally It’s also safe for sensitive skin and skin prone to breakouts.

Second, It’s GREAT for the Planet and INCREDIBLY Sustainable

While we obviously love hemp for all the benefits it provides for your skin (we are a skincare company after all) these aren’t the only reasons we love hemp. We also love it because it’s so sustainable!Hemp is one of the most sustainable crops in the world. Not only is it fully grown and ready for harvest in just six months, but it needs very little water, takes up little space, and produces more pulp per acre than trees. That’s so important for the planet! Plus, hemp is naturally pest-resistant so it can be harvested without pesticides and other chemicals that can seep into your skin causing diseases and illness.

Finally, it has TONS of Other Practical Uses!

Hemp seeds: Have you ever eaten hemp seeds? They’re soft, nutty and delicious. They’re packed with protein and vitamins and make a welcome addition to smoothies, soup, or even as a salad topper.

Hemp Clothing:Hemp can be used to make sustainable clothing. While it used to be a niche market, more and more mainstream brands are creating all-hemp lines.

Hemp Bioplastic:Plastic is one of the biggest pollutants in the world. In fact, many scientists are in consensus that by 2050, we will have more plastic in the ocean than fish. That means not only are we killing our fish and destroying our natural habitats, but we’re ingesting that plastic when we eat fish! But did you know you can opt-out of plastic and into hemp plastic? Hemp bioplastic serves all the functions of plastic, but they’re sustainable, natural, and biodegradable.

We believe that hemp truly has the power to change the world! If everyone swapped out their plastic, cotton, and synthetics for hemp, the world would be healthier. And if everyone swapped out their toxic skin and household products for hemp-based alternatives, we would all be healthier as well.

What Make Pink Seed Co. Different?

Most companies that call themselves hemp-based just use the minimum amount of refined hemp seed oil and then add fillers, water, and other ingredients. This saves them money on the production side and allows them to benefit from saying their products are “hemp-based.”

At Pink Seed Co., we think this is cheating.

We didn’t create this business just for the “hemp-based” labels - we truly believe in the power of hemp to start a global movement. We pack our products with cold-pressed, unrefined hemp seed oil. Plus, we use only recyclable materials for our packaging and give back a portion of our proceeds to help programs we care about.

If you’re looking for hemp-based skincare to keep your skin healthy and youthful AND if you want a product that’s truly helping save the planet, then you’ll definitely want to check out our products.
